Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 has introduced quite a few excellent cosmetics available. The battle pass is 14 pages long and holds several top-tier cosmetics available to be unlocked. The only thing standing in the way is the XP requirements.

As usual, players need battle stars to unlock items - 500 of them to get every single item on the pass and 1000 total for the bonus rewards. That requires a lot of XP.

Generally speaking, players can earn some XP every day and eventually get to the end. However, if they miss time, don't do anything, or join late, they won't be able to relax and unlock everything.

This can force them to try and get a lot of XP in a single day when trying to grind it out at the last minute, but there is a limit. What is the XP cap in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, and how does it work?

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1: XP limits, guidelines

The set cap for Chapter 4 Season 1 is 600,000 XP per day. That equates to about eight battle pass levels, meaning if players reached the limit every day, they would have the full battle pass in less than two weeks.

That doesn't happen often, but players who have been inactive should know that they will need at least two weeks to grind the entire battle pass. Right now, the current season is less than halfway done, so there's plenty of time.

This cap resets daily as it is a daily XP cap. That means when a new day arrives, it will reset and bring about a brand new opportunity to earn XP.

If timed right, players can earn 1.2 million XP in quick succession. Otherwise, they can earn it in consecutive days, which is still a quick way to level up in a bind.

Getting to this 600,000 limit is very challenging, though. Weekly challenges are a great way to earn XP, but this season they're different.

Rather than theoretically having all XP Fortnite challenges available at the end of the season for an absolute grind, they are only active during that week. Once Week 8 rolls around, Week 7's challenges are gone.

Daily challenges are good. Three of them per day can grant extra Fortnite XP upon completion, otherwise, they will only be awarded less than 1,000 per.

Additionally, the storyline quests are good for XP. They don't expire at any time, so there's always XP available for Fortnite players. These also come out weekly and detail the storyline, but are always present as a strong source of XP.

Save the World has become a trendy method for XP. It offers plenty for Battle Royale players. Additionally, XP maps in Creative mode (some of which involve glitches) have grown very popular.

It can be very difficult to get to 600,000 in a single day, but if players continuously grind it out, they'll eventually reach that number and be effectively cut off.
