How to outfit The Citadel with tech equipment in Fortnite Chapter 4?

Fortnite update v23.30 arrived earlier this week and brought a brand new set of quests for players to complete to level up faster across their Battle Pass and unlock the Midseason Drops. Alongside these quests, another Dragon Ball Z collab was added with the Mythic Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud making their return to the island.

With this update, the much awaited Part Three of Oathbound Quests have also been added that progresses the medieval storyline of the season and uncovers the mystery behind Stellan building the Rift Gate on the island. In a new set of quests, Stellan instructs loopers to expand the area of the Rift Gate around several POIs on the island and asks them to perform certain tasks for him.

One of the major tasks requires players to outfit The Citadel with tech equipment that Stellan can use to bridge the Rift Gate with the POI so that The Ageless Champion and a mysterious "Shapeless Figure" can use it. Here's how you can easily complete the Oathbound Quest in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.

Fortnite Oathbound Quest Part 3 Stage 2 guide: Outfit The Citadel with tech equipment

The second stage of the latest Oathbound Quests Part 3 requires players to install a pair of tech equipment at The Citadel, as instructed by Rift Warden Stellan in the previous stage.

Stellan also told loopers on how he got associated with The Oathbound and that there are certain secrets he carried all along which will slowly unfold as players progress along the questline.

To complete this particular quest from Part 3 of the questline, follow these simple steps:

1) Head to the Oathbound Quests Tab to find the location where you need to install the tech equipment

To start off, open up the Quest tab on the sidebar and navigate to Oathbound Quests. Once you're there, click on the highlighted quest and navigate to the Fortnite map. Here, you'll be able to see the marked location where you need to install the tech equipment.

Upon looking at this map, you'll notice that the equipment is located near the bridge that faces The Citadel. It would be wise to grab a weapon as soon as you land here to defend yourself with, before beginning the quest.

2) Land at The Citadel and locate the room with Tech Equipment

Upon landing at the marked location, you will notice two white markers nearby that will lead you to a room behind the main stairs that face the bridge at The Citadel. Enter that room and you will be able to see two highlighted tech equipments placed there.

One is a machine that is placed on the ground, and right on the opposite wall, there is a power socket that you need to install. Keep in mind that the Fortnite quest will not progress until you install both the equipment there.

3) Interact with both the tech equipments and complete the quest

Now all you need to do is go closer to each of the equipment inside the room and interact with them one by one. As soon as you interact with both the equipment, you will be able to see them completely installed at the location. Soon, you will also be able to see the Fortnite quest progress bar pop up on your screen that will notify you that Stage 2 has been successfully completed.

Upon completion, you will be granted with 20,000 XP that will help you level up faster across your Battle Pass. In the next few stages, Stellan will require you to complete a few more tasks that will power up the completed Rift Gate that is installed right next to The Citadel and will soon be seen in action in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.
