Fortnite: 4 Mysterious football fields appears ahead of Chapter 4 release

As Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 nears its end, four new football stadiums have been introduced, which could be why Epic Games is subtly introducing new elements. The live event is scheduled to be held in about two weeks, and map changes seem to have already begun.

These look like football stadiums, but it's difficult to tell what purpose they serve as most fields can often be multi-purpose.

According to Mida, the stadiums are floating. As a matter of fact, much of the map is floating now thanks to the ever-growing Chrome issue on land, but these new installments have been lifted up by balloons upon their arrival.

It is possible that these additions could be part of the FIFA World Cup's recent kick-off. Football, or soccer, has been a part of Fortnite in the past. The online game has had soccer fields and stadiums introduced in the past, with many soccer skins having become infamous.

While we attempt to approximate the location of these new stadiums, it's currently unclear if more will be added in the coming days. It is possible that that would ultimately depend on their intended purpose.

With the World Cup taking off one day and football fields showing up the next, it's difficult to believe that this is just a coincidence as Epic Games rarely introduces changes without a detailed purpose.

When will Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 arrive?

Based on the latest leaks and the schedule, Chapter 3 Season 4 will end with a live event on December 3 at 4 pm EST. The event will probably last no longer than an hour, which means that by 5 pm or so, the season will likely be over.

However, it will not immediately transition to the next chapter. Instead, there is a rumored downtime that could be lengthy. Estimates have ranged all the way up to two full days of downtime.

Whatever Epic is planning for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 will be big. Even the initial downtime of Chapter 3 Season 1 wasn't that long.

Epic Games will likely make sweeping changes to gameplay, the map, and other in-game features in Fortnite.

Either way, the following season is expected to arrive on December 5, which means that there are about two weeks left for gamers to experience a brand new chapter. There will likely be a lot of changes introduced then.
