Fortnite brings back Rambunctious emote after 1500 days only to vault it 1 hour later

The ultra-rare "Rambunctious" emote returned briefly on December 6, 2022, after the Fortnite Item Shop's rotation. Sadly, those who weren't paying attention in the first hour of the reset missed the opportunity to snag the emote.

Emotes can be considered rare if they aren't added back to the Item Shop in a long time. The Rambunctious was one of the best examples of this phenomenon as it had been out of the Item Shop for nearly 1,500 days, which is longer than for most other cosmetics. It had a legitimate claim to being the rarest emote of all.

However, after just one hour of being back, the emote was suddenly gone again. Popular content creator Tabor Hill noticed this and said:

"So, today, I literally just did an Item Shop review, and in the Item Shop was the now-rarest emote in the game, Rambunctious. It's been gone for almost 1,500 days! And it was in the Daily section of the Item Shop."

He continued:

"Guess what? It was just removed. They removed the entire Daily section which also featured the Rambunctious emote."

Fortnite Status on Twitter said that they were aware of the entire section being missing and that it would return in the next reset.

It's unlikely that the rare Rambunctious emote will return with the Daily section in the next Shop Refresh. There is a chance that the inclusion of the emote was a mistake, hence the quick removal.

Fortnite also offered "Vaulted for more than a year" section in Item Shop

Earlier in the day, Fortnite included an emote in the Item Shop that had been involved with a lawsuit when it first released.

The Tidy emote came back after 1455 days as part of a new section under which Epic Games had planned to offer emotes and cosmetics that were in the vault for a long time. After the shop rotation, the section along with the emote was removed.

However, Fortnite clarified that different versions of this section will grace the Item Shop in the future. This will be a great way to mark the return of potentially rare emotes as newer players will also get to know which items are sought-after in the community.

It's unclear what versions Epic might use, but it is clear that they want to alert the community about returning cosmetics in the Item Shop.

If you did not get to purchase Rambunctious, don't worry because even rare emotes do eventually come back. The Item Shop has seen almost all Fortnite cosmetics return at some point. One can expect that some of the items which have been missing a while now will also be available for purchase again in the future.
