Fortnite has just announced its collaboration with YouTube Icon MrBeast for an upcoming tournament where players will have a shot at winning a mega $1 million prize in-game. This is the first time that players can compete across all regions for the grand prize, no matter what their competitive level.

MrBeast is known as a creator, giver, and entrepreneur for his wildly expensive stunts where he gives his fans and community real cash and assets for free. It appears a similar trend could follow in this Fortnite tournament as he is ready to give away a million dollars to the player who successfully aces his challenge and has the highest score.

To do the same, players need to jump into a competitive island created by Atlas Creative, where, in a MrBeast-inspired experience, they will need to avoid hazards, collect coins, and survive extreme challenges to earn “Score.” Ultimately, players need to earn as much Score as they can before time runs out in the match.

The player with the highest score wins the grand prize at the end of the challenge. The tournament will take place on December 17, between 12 pm ET to 3 pm ET, and will be available in the "Fortnite Competitive" row under the Discover menu. During this time, players can play as many matches as they want. Once the challenge concludes, the Score of their best match will determine their global placement.

However, for players who fail to get a shot at the grand prize, MrBeast has other challenges in store for them in the form of free cosmetics.

Here's how you can get them:

MrBeast brings Fortnite players freebies and quests ahead of $1 million challenge

According to the official blog on the Fortnite website, players who fail to win the grand prize of $1 million in the MrBeast challenge will still stand a chance to win several free cosmetics that are part of the official collaboration. The top 100,000 players throughout the challenge can win the "Beast Brella" Umbrella Glider for free. Cosmetics like these are rare and don't often appear in the Item Shop.

Additional info also states that the island where the challenge is meant to take place goes live on December 13, so players will have time to practice before the challenge starts on December 17. The Fortnite island will be accessible from the Discover screen as well as from the island code 7990-6907-8565.

In addition to the umbrella, Fortnite players will see MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Quests go live at the same time as the island (9 am ET on December 13). After they successfully complete any one of these quests, they can earn the MrBeast Gaming Spray, and the other quest to earn the MrBeast Survival Games Loading Screen for free. Both Quests will challenge players to earn a certain amount of Score in MrBeast's Extreme Survival Challenge island.

Players will also be able to purchase the MrBeast and MrBeast 6000 Icon Series outfits that will include the following accessories:

  • MrBeast Smasher Pickaxe: (MrBeast outfit)
  • Beast Backdrop Wrap: (MrBeast outfit)
  • Prize Package Reactive Back Bling: (MrBeast 6000 outfit)
  • Beast Claw Pickaxe: (MrBeast 6000 outfit)
  • Wrapped and Revved Glider: (MrBeast 6000 outfit)

In addition to the cosmetic set, an emote similar to the classic Fortnite emote Make It Rain, but with a MrBeast style will be released. The emote, called Beast Blastin' Emote, will allow players to shoot cash from blasters and generously hand out eliminations with their outfits.
