Eren Yeager has made it to Fortnite. The Attack on Titan protagonist has landed in Epic Games' hit game as the latest in a string of anime crossovers they've introduced. My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z, and Naruto all got crossovers.

What makes the AoT crossover is that it's a lot smaller. While those crossovers got a few skins, cosmetics, and even in-game changes (POIs and other items), Attack on Titan gets one character on the battle pass.

The fact that it's on the battle pass is a first, too. However, Eren Yeager's Fortnite skin is not available right now. Players can purchase tiers to get the entire battle pass on day one, but not Yeager. Here's why and when he might be available.

Unlocking the Eren Yeager Fortnite skin: Where, when, and how

Eren Yeager in Fortnite serves as this season's secret skin. Yeager is not part of the main pass like Geralt of Rivia, The Prowler, Superman, The Foundation, and more in past seasons.

This makes him both more manageable and yet, more challenging to unlock. For starters, he can't be unlocked by just playing the game like the other skins on the battle pass can.

On the other hand, he can be unlocked by doing a few little things when he's available. For Yeager, the tentative release date is April 15. That weekend, the Yeager skin and whatever cosmetics it has along with it will be available to unlock.

However, it won't be as simple as leveling up and unlocking him. Instead, he will almost undoubtedly have challenges associated with him.

Like secret skins in the past, there will likely be a few cosmetics and an alternate style for Eren Yeager in Fortnite.

These will each be attainable with a single challenge. The first cosmetic will probably have something like "Grind continuously for 30 seconds in Mega City" or something like such.

The first cosmetic will be yours as soon as that challenge, whatever it may be, is completed. The same is true for the other cosmetics, which likely include a special emote or two. Once their challenge is done, the cosmetic is available to the player.

However, this is not the case with the skin. The skin and its style will likely be awarded for completing specific challenges for the set. Once players have completed seven challenges for the cosmetics, the skin unlocks.

After that, the alternate Fortnite style for Eren Yeager will likely be available at ten challenges. It all depends on how many cosmetics and challenges the set has, but the cumulative completion of other challenges will determine the availability of the skin.

Many of the cosmetics have been revealed, but none of them are currently available to unlock. The challenges can't be preemptively completed, either. They can only be done once the skin and everything else have gone live.

That will happen on Saturday, April 15, so in the meantime, spend your time grinding levels and unlocking the Fortnite skins that are already available.
