Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel campaign DLC will add a new perspective on Claptrap

Claptrap from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Developers Gearbox have revealed tons of information regarding their Borderland franchise as well as the upcoming strategy title Homeworld Remastered Collection at their panel in this year’s PAX South. In one of these announcements, the team stated that players will be getting a new perspective on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel character Claptrap in the games future campaign DLC.

The developers did not go into details about this upcoming DLC and only explained that they have “been working really hard on a campaign DLC that lets you go inside the mind of Claptrap."

The Pre-Sequel will also be getting a new playable character called Lady Aurelia Hammerlock, sister of Sir Alistair Hammerlock. Players will be able to take on the role of Aurelia who is a sniper character and “heir of the Hammerlock family fortune.” The character enjoys “hunting the greatest game in the galaxy,” as well as coming into direct conflict with her brother’s expeditions. The ‘The Lady Hammerlock Pack’, will be available for download on January 27th.

Gearbox have also announced that a Borderlands 3 is currently not in development, as they are currently understaffed. But it’s likely that we’ll be hearing about a Borderlands sequel once the development team is ready. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will be releasing on March 24th, 2015 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The Collection will consist of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
