Dead or Alive 5 will be releasing on March 30th

Dead or Alive fans have been a little worried about the graphics for the upcoming Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. According to user translation of a Japanese article on Gamecity, the PC version of the game will not be utilizing the Soft Engine, which is the same engine that powers the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. The article also mentions that the game will have more demanding system requirements than what is currently listed. This has left PC users a bit worried and many have now taken to NeoGAF to express their concerns.

Silconera had explained last year that the Soft Engine will make skin appear more natural. This is a huge let down for PC Gamers, who will now have to settle with PS3 style particle effects. This will definitely make the game look far inferior than its Xbox and PS counterparts. It is also worth noting that two extra stages which are present in the next-gen console versions have also been dropped from the PC version.

What is worse is that the article also mentions that the system requirements have become more demanding. According to an earlier listing, the minimum requirements to run the game were- an Intel Core i5, Windows 7 64-bit, 4GB of RAM. But now, PC owners will need a Core i7 2600, with a GeForce GTX 760, 660 or 750Ti video cards if they want to run the game at 1080p.

The game will still support 4K resolution and PlayStation 4 shadow effects, but this hardly makes up for the lower graphics and more demanding system requirements. PC owners aren’t the only ones missing out though, as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will reportedly have a few missing features as well. To top it all off, online play for the game will not be added until three months after its release. Hopefully Team Ninja does not have any more disappointing news for us.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is slated to release on March 30th for the PC.
