Driveclub will be getting a new free "Icona Vuclano" car next week

Driveclub players will be getting a cool new car to cruise around in. The “Icona Vulcano” will be making its way to the PlayStation store sometime next week and the best part is that the car will be completely free. Developers Evolution Studios have also released a new video showcasing the Icona Vulcano in action with the games dynamic weather system switched on.

The new video looks really cool with the raindrops splashing on the screen and some pretty stunning graphics to go with it. The new car does a lap around one of the recently added Japan tracks that was released earlier this month. The car does look quite gorgeous and seems to perform well though the weather system makes it a bit hard to see.

Driveclub has received tons of cool new content lately like the dynamic weather update and the recently released Japan DLC which comes with five new tracks. It’s great to see the developers offering all this new content for free. The game had a pretty rocky launch last year but all free DLC’s have more than made up for it.

Evolution Studios is yet to announce a release date for the free PS+ Version of the game which was supposed to be out last year. Hopefully they will release the PS Plus Edition later this year. The developers have stated that the reason for the delay was due to the games online issues which the team is currently working on. Here is their official statement on Facebook:

“We’re working on it. We are upgrading the servers to be able to support the full-game and the PS+ Edition and the companion app, but we have more to do to make this possible.”
