Eugen systems releases new pre-alpha gameplay trailer for Act of Aggression

The Act of Aggression VIP Multiplayer Beta will take place sometime in the coming months

Developers Eugen Systems have released a new pre-alpha gameplay trailer for its upcoming RTS title, Act of Aggression. Announced last year, Act of Aggression is a game that is inspired by the “golden era” of the RTS genre. It also boasts of features like base building, mass unit production, resource management and three competing factions, each of which will possess a set of unique abilities and technology. So it is bound to attract classic RTS and C&C fans.

The trailer showcases two of the games faction. The first is the “US Army”, which consists of a "brute force of veterans," who are tough as nails but are weighed down by their current-gen technology. The second faction is the mysterious “Cartel”, who possess the latest military prototypes but are not too good with a stand-up fight. The last faction is the UNO-funded “Chimera”, which posses the most inferior technology of the three but can still act as the “jack-of-all-trades”. According to the developers, the Chimera faction allows players to “mold their units through upgrades into specific roles.”

The game will also feature supply lines and large maps. Eugen Systems have stated that the game will be a “much more intimate" experience than its previous Wargame titles like AirLand Battle and Red Dragon.

They are yet to announce a release date for the title, but it should be out in spring this year. The games "VIP multiplayer beta" phase is slated to happen sometime in the coming months. Act of Aggression will be available for the Linux and Windows. In the meantime, you can check out the new pre-alpha gameplay trailer below:
