Man at arms creates Dante's rebellion sword from Devil May Cry

Dante in Devil May Cry

The amazingly talented team behind ‘Man At Arms‘ are well-known for recreating many iconic weapons from various popular games and entertainment franchises. From Jon Snow’s Longclaw Sword from the Game of Thrones series, to Arno’s Phantom Blade in Assassin’s Creed Unity, the crew have a long list of weapons forged and their latest endeavour involves Capcom’s Devil May Cry series.

Man At Arms have now chosen to re-create Dante’s Rebellion Sword from the Capcom’s Devil May Cry series. Their latest video is about 12 minutes long and shows the team forging the Dante’s Rebellion Sword. The team has worked in both films and Broadway creating props and weaponry. You can check out more of their work on their AweMeYoutube channel.

The Rebellion sword was created using 269 layers of Damascus Steel complete with the iconic demonic skill and hilt with a bronze finish. And yes it does function like a real sword, slitting through pumpkins and statues with ease. The video is informative for anyone who’s interested in forging or just curious. Sadly for fans, who are eager to know about the next Devil May Cry release, might have to wait a bit longer as Capcom has not announced a new title for DmC yet. However, they will be re-releasing DmC and Devil May Cry 4 for the next-gen consoles later this year.
