Player Unknowns BattleGrounds, or PUBG, is a survival type game where players are dropped on an island and have to fight to be the last man standing. The various games they can play include solo, duo or squads. They can also play in First Person or Third Person Modes. In this competition though they will play in Squads in First Person Mode.

20 teams will feature in eight different games, four today and four tomorrow, with every team involved in every game. Scores will be decided by placement from the last player to be eliminated from each team. Bonus points can be earned through the number of kills in each game. A prize pool of $200,000 USD is on the line in this tournament.

Digital Chaos won the first game with a full squad while Tempo Storm took second place and aAa Gaming finished third. The underdog Corn Shuckers, the only team in the field without a sponsor, finished fourth with a good showing on the first map. Despite a second place finish, Tempo Storm are third with respect to points because of the lack of kills they managed. After Game 1, Digital Chaos led with 450 points, aAa were in 2nd place with 320, Tempo Storm 3rd with 255, Corn Shuckers 4th with 205 and Evil Geniuses rounded off the Top 5 with 195 points.

In Game 2, Team SoloMid recovered from their first game folly to finish second. Cloud 9 won Game 2 with TSM at 2nd and Tempo Storm finishing 3rd. After two of four games for the day, Digital Chaos still led with 525 points, Tempo Storm moved up to 2nd place with 475 points after another 3rd place finish, Cloud 9 jumped to 3rd with 440 points, Corn Shuckers remained in 4th with 380 points and Method rounded off the Top 5 after the first 2 games with 325 points.

In Game 3, Method survived with two members remaining. Ninjas in Pyjamas held on for 3rd, while aAa ended with their second Top 3 finish in this tournament. After the 3rd game of the 8 game tournament, Method moved into first place with 795 points, while Digital Choas dropped to third with 595 points, Tempo Storm slipped to fourth with 580 points and Cloud 9 were bumped down to fifth with 510 points.

In Game 4, the final game of the day, Team SoloMid grabbed their 2nd Top 3 slot with a first-place finish. Ninjas in Pyjamas finished in second and Team Liquid cracked the Top 3 with a third-place finish. After 4 games, heading into tomorrow, Team SoloMid lie in first place with 865 points, Method sit second with 835 points, aAa slot into 3rd with 760 points, Digital Chaos slip to fourth place with 675 points and fifth place is shared by Faze Clan, Corn Shuckers and Tempo Storm with 620 points each.

The tournament concludes tomorrow in the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
