The official website of SEGA has given a small tease about the new game in the Sonic series, the Sonic Runners. Although nothing much has been revealed as yet for now we know that the game will be released as a free to play, which will be supported by premium in-game items. The game will be released for iOS (especially devices running on iOS 7.0 plus) and Android users (OS 2.3 or later versions). The official website also listed that the game would be released in Japan this year.
SEGA recently made headlines after they had announced their notion downsizing the enterprise. Just last week SEGA offered about 300 employees of the organization voluntary retirement which was done as part of the companies restructuring policies. Back in US, the SEGA office put forth their plan of moving the company from its base in San Francisco to Southern California.
