Star Citizen Arena Commander 1.0.1 update might be out later this week

Star Citizen

Community Manager of Star Citizen, Ben Lesnick, has recently posted his weekly announcement in which he reveals that Arena Commander’s next update should be out sometime soon.

Lesnick has stated that the development team at Cloud Imperium Games are working hard to get Arena Commander 1.0.1 ready for release. The update will address many of the games issues which players have encountered like known bugs and glitches. One of these bugs prevents players from entering into co-op Vanduul Swarm matches. The development team have stated that they have to get the 1.0.1 update out in a week: “The hope is to have that later in the week.”

According to Lesnick, the development team is also working on “some longer-term design posts to go with the recent stretch goals, the first of which may be finished by Friday”. Of course with all the upcoming summits that the team will be attending at the start of 2015, the Friday deadline may not be met. So as of now, it’s just a planned date and not an official release date.

Also for the first time in the game a few members of Star Citizen community will be getting the new release before the rest of games players via the new Persistent Test Universe. The upcoming Arena Commander 1.0.1 update will be the first patch in the game to use this process. Hopefully it should be out in a week as Lesnick has stated.
