Bangladesh will tour South Africa for a 2-match Test series and a 3-match ODI series in March-April 2022. The Bangladesh cricket team made history in New Zealand earlier this year by winning their first-ever Test match on New Zealand soil.

However, the challenge will be tougher because the South African cricket team is on a high, having beaten India in a Test series and an ODI series quite comprehensively.
History
Bilateral cricket series have always been entertaining, but to attract more viewers, the International Cricket Council (ICC) introduced the World Test Championship and the Cricket World Cup Super League.
Under these competitions, the teams need to play home and away cricket against different opponents in a cycle. Bangladesh and South Africa will play two ICC World Test Championship matches and three Cricket World Cup Super League matches in the upcoming tour.
The head-to-head record favours South Africa 10-0 in Test matches, and in the ODI format, South Africa lead 17-4 against Bangladesh.

The brief Bangladesh vs South Africa series will happen in two formats. The Test matches will last for a maximum of five days, with a win, a loss and a draw being the three possible results. The ODI matches will last eight-nine hours maximum, with the team scoring the most runs emerging victorious.
