After the New Zealand cricket team pulled out of their Pakistan tour at the last moment, the top stars of the Pakistan cricket team will play in the National T20 Cup 2021 and prepare themselves for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
Pakistan are former ICC T20 World Cup champions. Over the years, the country has produced some top-quality T20 players. One of the main reasons behind the Pakistan cricket team’s success in the shortest format of the game has been the Pakistan T20 Cup, which is one of the oldest competitions in the T20 format of the game.
The National T20 Cup 2021 started back in the 2004-05 cricket season. It was the number one T20 tournament in Pakistan before the inception of the Pakistan Super League.
Like India’s Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, teams from different regions and cities of Pakistan participate in their National T20 Cup tournament. Sialkot Stallions have been the most successful team in Pakistan T20 Cup history, with six championships to their name.
There are six teams, namely Balochistan, Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern, Sindh and Southern Punjab, in the National T20 Cup 2021. Each team will play against each other twice. The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals. The winners of the two semifinal matches will make it to the summit clash, and one team will emerge as the champions in the grand finale.
Two venues in Pakistan will play host to the National T20 Cup 2021. The Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will host the matches from September 23 to October 3, while Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host the remaining games.
There will be no live telecast of Pakistan T20 Cup matches in India. Fans can stream all games of National T20 Cup 2021 live on the official YouTube channel of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
