German Open 2019 Badminton

26 Feb 2019 - 3 Mar 2019

The German Open is a HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament. It is one of the 11 Super 300 level tournaments on the Tour.  The tournament, which was hosted for the first time in 1955, was known as the International German Badminton Championships and was hosted initially in Bonn. This year will see the popular international tournament being held for the 20th time in Mülheim an der Ruhr.

However, in 1981 it became an “Open” tournament as the prize money of US$ 20,000 was more than what amateurs were allowed to earn at that time. Now $150,000 is offered as the prize money.
