Amanda Balionis lands in NYC for the next PGA Tour signature event donned in blue and off-white

Amanda Balionis shared a short, eventful clip on Instagram detailing her journey to Connecticut for the upcoming 2025 Travelers Championship. The competition is the eighth and final signature event on the PGA Tour this year.

In August 2008, Balionis graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in broadcast journalism. Shortly after, her career took off as a sports reporter, and she worked with several reputable organizations before settling at CBS Sports, where she has been employed since 2017.

This year, the American sports reporter has covered several notable tournaments, including the Masters Tournament and the Memorial Tournament. She is gearing up to cover the 2025 Travelers Championship, which kicks off next week, on June 19.

In the video Amanda Balionis shared, she donned a stylish blue shirt designed with the Travelers Championship logo, paired with an off-white skirt. She took her Instagram followers along as she golfed her way from New York to Connecticut on the road to the Travelers Championship.

Balionis’ first stop was at Central Park, where she played golf with popular influencer Roger Steele and retired football star Brandon Jacobs. She gushed about the views and jokingly said it was “impossible” to chip out in Central Park’s rough.

Next, the CBS Sports reporter headed to Times Square and then New Haven, where she enjoyed some pizza and played some more golf. Her final stop was the Traveler’s Headquarters in Hartford, Connecticut, 20 minutes away from TPC River Highlands, the location for this year’s tournament.

Notably, the Travelers Championship was established in 1952 and was originally known as the Insurance City Open. Last year, the tournament had a prize purse of $20 million, and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler took the winning share of $3.6 million.

The 2025 RBC Canadian Open was held from June 5 to 8, and Amanda Balionis was on the ground to cover it. Following the conclusion of the tournament, she shared a pictorial recap on Instagram, gushing about how eventful the competition was.

In the pictures she posted, the 38-year-old golf reporter was captured in an interview with Ryan Fox, who won the tournament. She also shared clips from her interview with other golfers, such as Sam Burns and Nick Taylor, as well as scenic footage from the greens at TPC Toronto.

“Canada? You never disappoint. Today was another memorable final round with a very worthy Champion. It was so fun to watch Ryan Fox and Sam Burns battle it out for four playoff holes in front of HUGE crowds that never even thought about leaving until a winner was crowned.”

Ryan Fox and Sam Burns both scored 18-under after 72 holes in the RBC Canadian Open, and headed into a playoff. Fox won the playoff and secured the title, marking his second PGA Tour win in his career.
