CBS Golf reporter Amanda Balionis shared a photo of herself spending her downtime at the beach. While at the beach, she appeared to be reading The Secret Book Of Flora Lea by Patti Callahan Henry.
Balionis' long-standing legacy as a broadcast journalist has cemented her place in golf for years now. She has appeared at several PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events over the years. Amid the second round of the US Open (golf's third major of the year), the golf reporter shared a picture of herself relaxing at the beach.

Days before sharing this snap, Amanda Balionis also posted some of her goals for the summer, which included not reading her comments on social media, and not keeping score on the goal course. In a reel she posted on Instagram, Balionis also shared that another one of her goals for the summer was to read physical copies of books instead of digital versions on Kindle.
"Propaganda I won't be falling for... crash diets for summer, keeping score on the course, only focusing on what I need to work on, not celebrating the good, reading the comments, reading books on kindle only 📚 (real book summer y'all!)..."

Balionis is not part of CBS' coverage of the 2025 US Open, as she announced after the RBC Canadian Open that she would be taking a week off before returning to the PGA Tour.

Amanda Balionis was a part of the CBS Golf team of reporters and correspondants who brought live action and content from RBC Canadian Open. Last week, in a fierce playoff battle, Ryan Fox won this PGA Tour event over Sam Burns.
Shortly after Fox won the sudden death playoff with a birdie on the fourth playoff hole, Balionis got the chance to interview him. She later shared snaps from the interview, congratulating both Burns and Fox while declaring that she would be taking a week off from reporting. Take a look at Balionis' Instagram post:
"Canada? You never disappoint. Today was another memorable final round with a very worthy Champion. It was so fun to watch Ryan Fox and Sam Burns battle it out for four playoff holes in front of HUGE crowds...we had an incredible National Open. It's time for a week off."
Balionis is expected to be back on the golf course for Travelers Championship, a signature PGA Tour event, scheduled for June 19 to 22, 2025.
