The RBC Canadian Open is underway at TPC Toronto, and CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis is on the ground, covering all the action. On moving day, she was spotted donning an NHL team jersey while enjoying a fun moment with fans gathered at the 14th hole, famously known as The Rink.
Pennsylvania-born Balionis has always been a lover of sports. She attended Kutztown University of Pennsylvania for two years and played for the volleyball team during that period. She got a degree in broadcast journalism from Hofstra University, and shortly after, she worked as a high school sports reporter. She is now one of the most popular faces on CBS Sports.
During the third day of the RBC Canadian Open, Amanda Balionis sported a blue and white jersey representing the NHL team Toronto Maple Leafs. She briefly interacted with the crowd, running past them and shaking their hands, and the moment was captured by Sarah Seaver, who was present on the course. Seaver shared the video of Balionis’ fun fan interaction with the caption:
“THE RINK. I’m just here for @balionis the mvp.”
Balionis then reposted the video on her Instagram story, saying:
“😂😂😂 you honestly can’t take me anywhere. Such a fun day with the best fans 🇨🇦.”
