Anthony Kim pays tribute to 9-year NFL veteran for respecting the "responsibility of being a girl dad"

Anthony Kim has a very beautiful and deep attachment to his three-year-old daughter, Bella. The golfer even has a 'GirlDad' polo gear T-shirt as part of an official cooperation between AK and Extracurricular. Being a parent to a daughter is very important to him, and recently, he highlighted this while paying tribute to veteran NFL linebacker Will Compton.

Will Compton is also a girldad, and he recently welcomed his second daughter. The NFL veteran is now a father of two daughters: Cerulean Belle, who is three years old, and Scottie, who is only four months old. Recently, the former Redskins star made a highly sensitive and significant statement about the role of a girldad. He discussed it on his show, For The Dads, and even shared a clip on his X account.

In the video he put on X, Compton discussed how the first male contact a girl has is with her father and why this is so essential. He stated:

"You are your daughter's first love, and it's not something where you're trying to be romantic. It's about being the first role model of what love looks like. You're the first man to hold her. You're the first one to make her laugh on a hard day. You're the first one to show her that love doesn't have to be hurt or earn or beg to be kept. And that's a huge responsibility."

This is not the first time Will Compton's content has captured the hearts of audiences. In fact, he was once even backed by President Donald Trump when he appeared on the show Bussin' With The Boys. Trump claimed that his 18-year-old son Barron Trump enjoyed that show because of the hosts, Will Compton and Taylor Lewan.

Watching Compton's recent statement surely made Anthony Kim a bit emotional. The 39-year-old paid respect to the former NFL star in the comments section of this post. He too highlighted how difficult it may be at times to be a girldad.

Along with his honor, Kim achieved a big collaboration between Compton's For The Dads podcast merchandise and the golfers' Girldad merchandise.

The comment he dropped read,

"Respect to @_willcompton 4 representing the girldad club. I’ve heard and seen some opinions regarding being a parent & love how he respects the responsibility of being a girldad. I know u guys got merch but would love 2 send u some of my girldad polos from @excrgolf my brother🙏"

Anthony Kim is currently on the LIV Golf Tour, and despite his busy schedule, he makes time for his family.

Anthony Kim met his wife Emily Kim in 2005. They tied the knot with each other in 2008 and had their first child 14 years after marrying each other. They welcomed their daughter Bella in 2022. She was born prematurely and required urgent medical attention at the time. Things eventually worked out, and Kim found a new purpose to strive for greater success.

Kim returned to Golf after being away from the sport for about 12 years, and he credited his daughter for this return. The golfer gave an exclusive interview to LIV Golf, where he revealed all of this. According to LIV Golf's website, Kim said,

"I had no self-worth until I became a father. I really didn’t feel that, and now I have a duty, I have a responsibility of taking care of my family and being the best role model for my daughter as I could be. That gives me purpose every morning, and I just didn’t have that before.”

Anthony Kim is currently looking to regain his golfing form, and he has made significant progress in recent tournaments.
