Charlie Woods is currently competing at the 2025 Florida Amateur Championship in BallenIsles Country Club East Course. Tiger Woods' son has shown commendable form and performance in junior golf tournaments this year. However, Woods fell short during Saturday's third round (June 7).
The 108th Amateur Championship in Palm Beach Gardens of Florida started on June 5. Apart from Woods' son, the oldest continuous sporting event of Florida features a stronger field. Charlie made the cut at the event with a consistent showing in the first two rounds.
However, Woods lost his pace in the third round of this year's Florida Amateur Championship. Charlie Woods finished his third round with a total 5-over par 77. This brings his total score over 54 holes to 7-over par 223, placing him tied for the 54th spot on the tournament leaderboard.
During round 3, Woods bogeyed on the second hole. He also scored a birdie on par-4 hole 5, but on hole 8, Woods hit a triple bogey. He went on to score three more bogeys on holes 10, 14, and 17 respectively.
He also scored a second birdie on hole 15. This left Woods finishing his third round 13 shots away from the tournament leader Arth Sinha. Despite this setback, Charlie Woods' considerable ascension in AJGA Rankings following his first junior victory remains constant.
He jumped 595 spots, placing himself on the 14th rank with 237.823 points. On the WAGR, Woods has a 219.8450 point average with two wins and two top-10 finishes over the last 104 weeks.
Woods is coming off his Team TaylorMade Invitational win that he achieved on May 28, 2025 at Old Waverly Golf Course.
Charlie Woods shared his feelings after first junior victory
It was not that long ago when Tiger Woods' son showcased incredible form at Streamsong Black. He finished three strokes ahead of Phillip Dunham, Luke Colton, and Willie Gordon.

"...I haven't really performed at the highest level yet. And to finally do it after all the work I have put in and not playing well in big events in the past... for it all to finally come together is such a great feeling."
"Just being able to say to myself that I have won an absolutely amazing event and say that I have performed under high pressure situations is huge going forward"
Woods' 54 hole total at Streamsong Black comprised of one eagle and 26 birdies. His tournament total was just one stroke away from breaking the 16-under scoring record.
