How much did golfers win at Honda LPGA Thailand? Prize money payouts explored

The LPGA returned to action this week with the Honda LPGA Thailand. The four-day event held at the Siam Country Club in Pattaya saw Lilia Vu lift the trophy on Sunday. The golfer snatched the lead from Thai golfer Natthakritta Vongtaveelap in the final round to win.

American Lilia Vu won her debut event outing and bagged the top prize of $255,000. With this, the 25-year-old has now crossed $1 million in career earnings since teeing off as a rookie in 2019. While Vu took the biggest chunk of the $1.7 million purse, runner-up Vongtaveelap, playing on a sponsor exemption, settled for $157,780.

Twenty-year-old Thai golfer Atthaya Thitikul finished third on the field stacked with LPGA stars. She earned $114,458 for her efforts. Meanwhile, Celine Boutier and Maja Stark bagged $79,904 each to finish T4. Event favorite Lydia Ko finished T6 along with rival Nelly Korda. Both of them returned home with $47,079 each.

It is pertinent to note that the LPGA event happened in parallel to the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic. The men’s event had a prize purse of $8.4 million. Chris Kirk won the event and bagged the top prize of $1,512,000.
