Joaquin Niemann shares his thoughts before stepping up at Oakmont

Niemann's dominating performance at Virginia has greatly contributed towards Niemann's U.S. Open momentum. Before he steps up at the 125th edition of this golf major at Oakmont, Joaco shared his thoughts about the upcoming golf major.

During the post-match interview, Joaquin Niemann said From Robert Trent Jones Golf Club (quoted by ASAP Sports):

"I feel like it's just another golf tournament. I've got to figure out stuff in my game and got to improve, like I said before, my driving. I feel like next week is going to be a good challenge. I feel like this is going to be a good preparation for what's coming."

He also admitted that it will be his first time playing at the iconic venue.

"I actually haven't been to Oakmont before. It's going to be my first time. I've got to go there on Monday, see what it is, and then see what I expect. More than that, I don't have many more expectations."

Till last year, Niemann has made 5 appearances in the U.S. Open, where he made the cut 4 times, earning 1 top-25 finish. His best U.S. Open performance was back in 2020, when he ended up tying for the 23rd spot on the major leaderboard.
