Nelly Korda continues her stance as she cheers those who agree "Philly airport is the worst"

LPGA star Nelly Korda cheered on people who agreed with her recent opinion about the Philadelphia Airport. The World No.1 wrapped up her latest LPGA event, ShopRite LPGA Classic in New Jersey with a T15 finish on Sunday (June 8).

Korda finished in a five-way tie for 15th place after shooting an eight-under par score of 205. Soon after, as she headed to her next destination, she faced a hitch while traveling at the Philadelphia Airport.

The 26-year-old ended up missing her flight despite 'sprinting' through the airport. She also labeled the Philly airport to be the worst in the world, in a previous Instagram story she had shared. The 26-year-old continued her stance in her latest story after her followers seemingly backed her opinion about the airport. Korda shared a selfie of herself while having coffee and captioned it:

Korda is skipping the Meijer LPGA Classic, scheduled to take place at the Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan this week. She had missed the cut at the event last year while Lilia Vu sealed the victory in a playoff with Grace Kim and Lexi Thompson.

Korda is yet to win a tournament this season, although she has finished as a runner-up twice so far - HGV Tournament of Champions and the U.S Women's Open (T2).


Nelly Korda reflected on her game after her best finish yet at the U.S Women's Open

The two-time Major winner shot a five-under par 283 to share the runner-up position with Rio Takeda at the U.S Women's Open. While Maja Stark clinched her first Major title by two strokes, Nelly Korda gained her best finish at the event.

During her post-round press conference on Sunday (June 1), Korda was asked about her game over the week and the missed putts. Analyzing her game, she shared (via ASAP Sports):

"I hit it so good off the tee. I wasn't in one bunker this week. I feel like that's pretty impressive out here. I was thinking about that going into the round today. I was like, don't think about it. It's going to happen if you think about it."

She also spoke about her ball-striking which went well, and how the frustrating it was when it came to the putting. She continued:

"I wasn't hitting bad putts. They just weren't falling like my - out here, especially with it getting tougher every single day, like matching your speed with your line is very crucial on fast greens."

Korda also said that she was hopeful about her future attempts to claim the title, despite the heartbreak at this year's edition.
