The 2023 Masters is scheduled to take place from April 6 and run through April 9 at the Augusta National Golf Course. It is the biggest tournament of the year featuring the best golfers in the world.

Officials had already released the eligibility criteria in January and sent out invitations.

Scottie Scheffler, the 2022 Masters winner, will return to defend his title. Rory McIlroy will also be playing in the championship as well as current World No. 1 Jon Rahm.

McIlroy recently missed the cut at the Players Championship and is now heading for the Masters. Speaking about the major tournament, McIlroy revealed:

"Just making sure my game is in shape for Augusta. Making sure that I've got all the shots. Making sure that I familiarize myself with the golf course again and go up there for a couple of days. But, yeah, from now all the way until the start of April, it's really just all about getting ready for Augusta."

Interestingly, five-time Masters winner Tiger Woods will also return to the field to win the next major tournament. He developed plantar fascitis ahead of the World Hero Challenge in December 2022 and has been struggling with a leg injury. Woods is also focused on winning the sixth Masters of his career.
