Fans on social media have reacted to Anthony Kim making his first professional cut in 12 years at the International Series Qatar event. The American golfer made his much-anticipated return to professional golf on the Saudi-backed LIV Golf as a wildcard entry earlier this year.
However, the Saudi Circuit events do not have any cut line, but finally, as he teed it at this week's Asian Tour event, which has a 72-hole format and cutline after 36 holes, the LIV golfer made the cut. It was his first cut in 12 years.
Nuclr Golf shared the news about Anthony Kim making the cut in the Qatar event on its X (formerly Twitter) account. The post also claimed that the American golfer will reportedly return to play on LIV Golf in 2025. It reads:
"Anthony Kim has made his first professional cut in 12 years after firing rounds of 71-72 in Qatar. Kim’s made cut at this week’s Asian Tour event is his first since the Arnold Palmer Inv in 2012. Reports indicate Kim will return to LIV Golf for the 2025 campaign."

After returning to professional golf at the start of 2024 on LIV Golf, Anthony Kim struggled with his game. He finished last on the leaderboard several times on the circuit.
However, finally, he had a much-needed comeback with a decent performance at the ongoing International Series Qatar. He shot two rounds of 71 and 70 to settle in a tie for 50th place at the Asian Tour event to make the cut.
Kim opened up about his game in an interview with Gulf News and said:
"I know a lot of people have probably seen my last year and don't think that's possible [contending on Sundays], but I think it’s going to happen. I 100% believe in myself, and I think it's just a matter of time. Obviously, the results aren't what I wanted so far, but I think I am ahead of schedule."
Peter Uihlein took the lead in the game after two rounds of the International Series Qatar at 12-under. The LIV golfer shot two rounds of 68 and 64. The Saudi Circuit players have been impressive with their game this week.
David Puig tied for fourth place, and Louis Oosthuizen tied for eighth place. Patrick Reed and Brandel Steele tied for tenth place. The tournament will have its finale on November 30.
