The second round of the 2024 Irish Open was completed on Friday, September 13, at Royal County Down Golf Club in Northern Ireland. The cut line was set at 2 over, and 68 players made the cut.

Matteo Manassero leads the Irish Open at -6 after 36 holes. 12 players are three shots or less behind him.

Matteo Manassero carded two eagles, three birdies and two bogeys (5-under) to move up 19 places on the leaderboard of the Irish Open.

Todd Clements carded one birdie and two bogeys on the front nine and could only save par for the round with a birdie on the 18th. He is now tied at second with Laurie Canter, who moved up three places, thanks to his 3-under score on Friday.

Local hero Rory McIlroy was 1 under for the round and remains tied at fourth. Shane Lowry, Tom McKibbin, Seamus Power, and amateur Sean Keeling were the other Irishmen to make the cut.
