The Masters is scheduled to take place from April 6-9 at the Augusta National Golf Course. Interestingly, LIV golfers will also be playing in the tournament. 18 LIV golfers will be competing to earn the green jacket alongside the PGA Tour players. This year, however, some of the star golfers will miss The Masters for various reasons.

Here's a list of the golfers who will miss the 2023 Masters.

#1 Rickie Fowler

Rickie Fowler will miss the Masters in 2023. He finished in the T10 position at the Valero Open Championship last week but still missed out on qualification for The Masters.

Fowler turned professional in 2009 and has won nine events in his career. He has won five PGA Tour events and two European Tours, and has played in all four major tournaments.

The American finished in second position at the 2018 Masters and was tied second at the 2014 US Open and The Open Championship. He finished in third place at the 2014 PGA Championship. However, Fowler is yet to win a major event.

#2 Ian Poulter

Ian Poulter joined LIV Golf last year and missed most of the PGA Tour events. His points were not added to the rankings list and his ranking slipped, resulting in him missing the qualification criteria for the 2023 Masters.

Poulter turned professional in 1995 and has won 17 professional events. He has won three PGA Tours and 12 European Tours.

Ian Poulter has played in all four major tournaments. He finished T6 at the Masters, T3 at the PGA Championship, T12 at the US Open and second at The Open Championship.

#3 Webb Simpson

Webb Simpson will miss the 2023 Masters. Having turned professional in 2008, Simpson has won one major tournament - the US Open in 2012.

Simpson finished T5 at the 2019 Masters but is yet to win the tournament. However, his dream of wearing the green jacket will take time as he missed the qualification criteria and will not be playing at the Augusta tournament this year.

#4 Lee Westwood

Like Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood also joined LIV Golf last year and will miss the Masters in 2023. He turned professional in 1993 and has won 44 events in his career. However, he has never won a major tournament.

Lee Westwood has competed in all four major tournaments, with the best finishes at the Masters and The Open Championship. He finished second at the Masters twice and third at the US Open twice. In 2009, he finished T3 at the PGA Championship.

#5 Joel Dahmen

Joel Dahmen became a fan favorite after the release of Netflix's golf docuseries Full Swing. The star golfer opened up about his struggles and performances in the series. He turned professional in 2010 but has never played at the Masters.

Joel Dahmen has won three professional events in his career, including one on the PGA Tour. He finished T10 at the 2020 PGA Championship. Last year, Dahmen competed at the US Open and finished in the T10 position. In 2021, Dahmen tied for 46th position at The Open Championship.

He has played in three of the four major tournaments and is waiting for the Masters invite.
