When will the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship be played? Schedule, venue, and more explored

Out of the eight 2024 FedEx fall season events, the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship is the second tournament on the roster. The first was the Procore Championship which took place from September 12–15 and was won by Patton Kizzire. The second FedEx fall season event will take place from October 3-6.

The detailed schedule for the tournament week is already out on the event’s official website and here's the breakdown of that:

Monday: September 30

Course closed to the general public
8-10:10 am: Sealed Air Pro-Am tee times, 10 am: Noon first tee clinic

Tuesday: October 1

Audience not allowed in the venue
Practice round for pros ( including women's day luncheon)

Wednesday: October 2

Gates open to everyone at 7 a.m.
Lyle Machinery morning and afternoon tee times are scheduled for 7-9 a.m. and noon-2 p.m., respectively.

Thursday: October 3

Audiences are allowed from 7 am onwards
First-round morning tee times ( 7 – 9:01 a.m.) and afternoon tee times (11:55 a.m.–1:56 p.m.)

Friday: October 4

People can enter after 7 am
Second round morning tee times between 7 and 9:01 a.m. and afternoon tee times between 11:55 a.m. and 1:56 p.m.

Saturday: October 5

Gates open to people at 8 am and pros tee off around the same time

Sunday: October 6

Gates open at 8 am
Pros tee off at 8 am
6 pm: Trophy presentation on the 18th green

Where is the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship played and what is the purse for the event?

The 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship will take place at the Country Club of Jackson. The Country Club hosted the event for several years and even hosted the event in 2023 when Luke List won the trophy. In addition to organizing professional events, the clubhouse also hosted the 2023 Gator Invitational (a Junior golf circuit event).

Last year, the event’s purse was $8,200,000 and this year, there's been a fall of $600,000 in the total purse prize. The 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship purse stands at $7600,000, out of which, $1,368,000 will go to the winner, which is $108,000 less than what Luke List received in 2023.

List's payout last year was $1,476,000. The second and third-place finishers of the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship will receive $828,400 and $524,400, respectively.

The PGA Tour golfers will fight for the purse and the field includes Rickie Fowler, Ryan Fox, Lucas Glover, Charley Hoffman, and others.
