Minami Katsu is achieving one of the best results of her career in The Chevron Championship as she is currently in the top 10 after 54 holes. If she can hold onto or improve her current position in the final round, it would be her best finish in Majors so far.Katsu is 25 years old and was born in Kagoshima, Japan. She started playing golf at the age of six and was taught by her grandfather. She quickly rose to prominence on the junior and amateur circuits in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.During her amateur years, Minami Katsu won several high-level tournaments such as the New Zealand Women's Stroke Play Championship and the Japan Women's Amateur.
