David Pastrnak is a right winger for the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins. The Czech was drafted by the team in the first round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Pastrnak has been dating Rebecca Rohlsson since 2018. Rohlsson began her career as a hostess and salesperson at Svenska Dagbladet. She worked there for six months before leaving and joining Saljfokus Nordic AB as a sales representative.

She also worked as a customer booker at Exceed Sverige. She eventually began working as an event planner and her first job was as an event staffer at People Partner Sweden.

Pastrnak and Rohlsson had one child together, Viggo Rohl, who was born on June 17, 2021. However, he tragically died six days later.

David Pastrnak's NHL career and contract details

David Pastrnak kissed his hand and pointed to the heavens as he walked onto the stage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia after being selected by the Boston Bruins with the No. 25 pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.

The heartfelt tribute was to his father, Milan, who had died of cancer 13 months earlier. Milan was an adviser, cheerleader, inspiration, and hockey/life coach. He had always dreamed of his son playing in the NHL.

Pastrnak was ranked fifth among European players by NHL Central Scouting prior to the draft. At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Pastrnak was expected to fill out and develop NHL-level puck and passing skills over time.

The Havirov, Czech Republic, native was assigned to Providence of the American Hockey League after signing an entry-level contract and attending Bruins training camp on July 15, 2014. He didn't stay long, though.

Before being called up in November, he had 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 25 games.

David Pastrnak scored his first two NHL goals in a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Jan. 10, 2015, at Wells Fargo Center, the arena where he was drafted and where he paid tribute to his late father.

Pastrnak exceeded expectations in 2016-17, finishing with 70 points in 46 games (34 goals and 36 assists)., a huge increase from the 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) he managed the previous season.

On Sept. 14, 2017, he was signed to a six-year, $40 million contract, and the following season, he finished second on the Bruins with 80 points (35 goals, 45 assists) in 82 games while forming one of the league's best lines with center Patrice Bergeron and right wing Brad Marchand.

In 2018-19, David Pastrnak added to his offensive output with 81 points (38 goals, 43 assists) in 66 regular-season games. In the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, he had 19 points (nine goals, ten assists) in 24 games to help the Bruins advance to the final, where they were defeated in seven games by the St. Louis Blues.

David Pastrnak finished third in the NHL with 95 points in 2019-20, sharing the Maurice Richard Trophy with Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals after they tied for the league lead with 48 goals. He was also named Atlantic Division captain for the 2020 NHL All-Star Game.
