NHL Picks and Predictions: Do Edmonton Oilers get their revenge? March 28, 2023

Reasoning: Both teams have struggled to consistently put points on the board. Expect a big game from Casey DeSmith as the Penguins compete for an NHL WIld Card spot.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs New York Rangers, 7 pm EST

Prediction: Rangers 3-0

Reasoning: The Blue Jackets have a ton of talent sitting out, and the Rangers will look to continue their hot streak at Madison Square Garden, where they haven’t allowed a goal in over a week.

Montreal Canadiens vs Philadelphia Flyers, 7 pm EST

Prediction: Flyers 5-2

Reasoning: The Flyers haven’t looked terrible in the last month of the season. They should win their fourth in a row and fifth in six games against the Canadiens in front of their home crowd.

Vancouver Canucks vs St. Louis Blues, 8 pm EST

Prediction: Canucks 4-1

Reasoning: The Canucks have won four of their last five, with one of those wins coming against the playoff-bound Dallas Stars. They should keep their goal-scoring hot streak going.

Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks, 8:30 pm EST

Prediction: Blackhawks 4-3 OT

Reasoning: As many goals the Dallas Stars scored in the last few games, the other team scored more. The Hawks have played close games but lost all of them. They should find some scoring momentum to take this game to OT.

Los Angeles Kings vs Calgary Flames, 9 pm EST

Prediction: Kings 5-1

Reasoning: The Kings can put the puck in the net at will, an area of the game the Flames have struggled with all season. Kings should pick up their fifth win in a row. The last time these two teams played was eight days ago, which the Kings won 8-2.

Edmonton Oilers vs Vegas Golden Knights, 10 pm EST

Prediction: Oilers 2-0

Reasoning: Two of the hottest teams in the NHL. Just three days ago, the Oilers dropped their home game in OT to Vegas. They should get their revenge in Vegas here.

Winnipeg Jets vs San Jose Sharks, 10:30 pm EST

Prediction: Jets 4-0

Reasoning: It seems like everyone in the NHL can score against the San Jose Sharks recently. The Jets offense isn’t that great, but they should put down the tanking Sharks.
