Russian President Vladimir Putin joined the All-Russia Festival of Night Hockey league for a light game. Putin competed with legendary Russian players including Vyacheslav Fetisov, Pavel Bure, Aleksey Kasatonov and Valery Kamensky. Alongside Putin, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu was also present there.

Within the first minutes of the game Putin scored a goal. He led his side to a 21-4 victory, while getting 6 goals and 5 assists to his name.

“Vladimir Vladimirovich has set himself the goal of playing hockey,” former NHL hockey star Pavel Bure was quoted on the Huffington Post. “Several years ago he said: ‘I will do it!’ Now you can see the result — 6 goals.”
