#2 Mickie James defended her title on IMPACT Wrestling

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Mickie James addressed the IMPACT Zone following her title win over Deonna Purrazzo. She admitted that The Virtuosa gave her the toughest fight of her career but is nowhere to be found so she is ready to take on all comers.

Madison Rayne stepped up and challenged James for the title, which was scheduled for this week. Despite multiple interferences from Kaleb with a K, James managed to retain her title.

Following the match, Mercedes Martinez came to the ring and stated that she won the Knockouts Knockdown Tournament and was ready for a title shot at the Turning Point pay-per-view on November 20.

The match kicked off with Josh Alexander, Eddie Edwards & Matt Cardona gaining momentum but the heels made their come back into the contest courtesy of Minoru Suzuki, following which they isolated Cardona for most of the match.

Once the latter tagged Alexander in, he laid down a barrage of suplexes on the opponents. In the closing moments of the match, all the competitors came face to face and a massive brawl broke out with W. Morrissey and Edwards left as the legal men.

Morrissey then hit a big boot on Eddie Edwards followed by a powerbomb to secure the win as the heels stood tall to close out this week's IMPACT Wrestling.
