Speaking of world champions, Moose will be defending his title against former friend and arch-rival, Eddie Edwards at Turning Point. The stipulation for the match was revealed this week.

Mickie James had a few words for her rival Mercedes Martinez following the latter's heinous attack last week on IMPACT Wrestling. We had clarity on the X-Division Title picture as Steve Maclin squared off against Laredo Kid. Knockouts Tag Team Champions Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay wrestled in their first non-pay-per-view match.

So without further ado, let's go through the five talking points from the go-home edition of IMPACT Wrestling ahead of Turning Point. Let us know your thoughts on the show in the comment section below.

#5 X-Division title match finalized on IMPACT Wrestling

Steve Maclin has been in constant pursuit of the X-Division Title for the last month and a half. He made his way to the finals of the Title tournament at Bound For Glory but came up short. He also lost the No.1 Contender's match a couple of weeks ago.

However, through all of this, he was never pinned or submitted. Maclin was awarded yet another chance as he was put into a bout with the current No.1 Contender, Laredo Kid.

A win in the match would see Maclin get added to the title match at Turning Point. The duo had a fantastic match together, with Maclin picking up the win courtesy of Mayhem For All.

Following the match, the current X-Division Champion Trey Miguel stated that he would make it a point to pin or submit Maclin at Turning Point to finally put an end to his ranting of not getting beaten.

#4 The IInspiration made their in-ring debut on IMPACT Wrestling

Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay, collectively known as The IInspiration, won the tag team gold at IMPACT Wrestling's Bound For Glory in their first-ever match for the promotion. However, this week they were involved in their first non-pay-per-view match as they battled The Undead Bridesmaids.

After a back-and-forth match, Lee and McKay delivered a double-team Powerbomb to secure the pinfall victory. However, before they could celebrate their win, their challengers, Decay, made their way out to the ring to surround and intimidate them.

#3 Mickie James and Mercedes Martinez trade shots on IMPACT Wrestling

Following her match last week, Martinez was attacked by Madison Rayne. Mickie James made her way to the ring just in time to make the save. However, the Knockouts Champion was laid out by her challenger.

In this week's episode, Martinez made her intentions clear, stating the only reason she joined the promotion was to dominate and become the champion. She issued a warning to James stating she should never turn her back on her.

The Knockouts Champion also spoke her mind stating that she should've known better and thanked Martinez for reminding her that she couldn't be trusted. James went on to state that she thought she was helping a friend but when it came to the Championship, there was no friendship.

#2 Josh Alexander battled Minoru Suzuki on IMPACT Wrestling

Following his loss to Moose at Bound For Glory, Josh Alexander confronted the IMPACT Wrestling Champion. However, making his debut for the promotion, Minoru Suzuki attacked The Walking Weapon and the two engaged in a brawl.

The following week, they shared the ring in a six-man tag team match. They put on a fantastic performance which started in a stalemate with both of them reversing their big moves.

Suzuki gained control of the match as the two battled on top of the stage. In the closing moments of the match, Alexander reversed the Gotch Piledriver with a back elbow and delivered the C4 Spike for the win. He celebrated his win as his wife cheered him from ringside.

#1 Stipulation for World title match revealed on IMPACT Wrestling

Moose attacked Eddie Edwards from behind during the latter's interview with Gia Miller. A massive brawl broke out between the two. Moose delivered a vicious powerbomb to Edwards on the apron. However, the latter retaliated with multiple shots using a steel chair.

Edwards set Moose up on the table and was about to land a diving attack from the top of the ladder when the latter retreated. IMPACT Wrestling's Executive Vice-President informed Moose that his Title defense at Turning Point would be a Full Metal Mayhem match.
