IMPACT Wrestling "Advisor" Tommy Dreamer put together a dream team to take on Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers tonight. Former IMPACT Wrestling World Champions Sami Callihan and Chris Sabin will team up with Mr. IMPACT Wrestling himself Moose. None of them liked one another, but they had mutual hate and disdain for Kenny Omega and Don Callis.
Chris Bey vs Petey Williams on IMPACT Wrestling
Chris Bey took Petey Williams to the mat early but was sent to the corner with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Maple Leaf Muscle followed with a diving hurricanrana. A dropkick to the back set Williams up for a one-count.
Bey caught Williams going for a shoulder thrust into the ropes, hitting a series of kicks and a diving elbow. He followed with a swinging neck breaker for a two-count on the IMPACT Wrestling veteran.
Petey caught Bey with a German suplex, however, following up with a running knee to the jaw. As Petey called for the Canadian Destroyer, Bey countered. A rolling elbow to the back of the neck and a torture rack backbreaker nearly earned the victory.
Petey Williams ate a roundhouse kick but avoided the Art of Finesse. His tilt-a-whirl leg sweep connected, as did a pop-up powerbomb. Bey picked the leg to escape the Canadian Destroyer but found himself in a Sharpshooter. On Canada Day of all days!
Bey escaped a series of pinning attempts and countered another Canadian Destroyer. After a running cutter, Bey followed with the Art of Finesse.
Results: Chris Bey defeated Petey Williams via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.
Grade: A-
After the match, Ace Austin, Rohit Raju, Madman Fulton, and Shera came down to attack Petey Williams. Bey was offered a chance to join but walked away. Trey Miguel and Josh Alexander ran in for the save. They did well, but the numbers advantage, along with two monsters like Shera and Fulton, was just too much.
Chris Bey finally made a decision, running in to attack Shera with a missile dropkick. He sent Fulton to the floor with a hurricanrana and rocked Rohit with an enzuigiri. Ace Austin was all on his own, and Bey joined Petey and Josh in battering the Inevitable One of IMPACT Wrestling.
They sent Austin flying to the floor, landing on Shera and Fulton. Bey made a choice tonight that would have major implications for the Ultimate X match at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary.
