Ultimate X Match for the IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Championship: Trey Miguel vs Ace Austin vs Petey Williams vs Rohit Raju vs Chris Bey vs Josh Alexander (c)

Could anything top the Ultimate X match tonight?

The IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion was at a disadvantage in this one, as his best game came with the mat, not the air. In a ring with five other high-flyers, it was going to be a struggle.

Ace Austin and Josh Alexander found each other by themselves in the ring, and Alexander spiked him with a high-angle German suplex. Rohit Raju rushed to try and get to the belt. He was a bit too short to get to the ropes, and after the crowd's encouragement, he went for a jump. Missing, he wound up getting taken out with a boot from the champion.

Chris Bey was the one to bring IMPACT Wrestling's Walking Weapon down, as he sent the champ to the floor for a big dive. However, a slingshot hurricanrana from Petey Williams would bring Bey down. Petey was hit with a powerslide DDT by Trey, while Rohit and Ace moved up top to go for the title.

Rohit Raju sent Ace Austin to the group below, leaving everyone down while he went for the title. Since he couldn't reach the ropes, he chalked up his hands and grabbed a climbing rope. After a few failed attempts, he got it around the X floating above and nearly climbed all the way up. Instead, he was pulled down by IMPACT Wrestling's Maple Leaf Muscle Petey Williams.

Williams dropped Raju with the tilt-a-whirl Russian leg sweep but was hit with a Fameasser by Chris Bey. As Bey moved up, he was met by Trey Miguel. Though Trey couldn't knock Bey off, a returning Raju was used as a weapon. Trey jumped off the ropes for a hurricanrana, sending Raju spearing Bey off the X.

Ace, Trey, and Petey were going for a superplex when Josh Alexander noticed Raju had grabbed a tool used to fix the skylights in the studio. Raju cracked Alexander as well as Petey and Ace. When Raju went for the title, he was sent flying across the ring with a missile dropkick from Trey Miguel.

Josh Alexander tried to reclaim his title, but Petey Williams yanked him off. The IMPACT Wrestling Veteran then locked Trey Miguel in a Sharpshooter. Raju added the pressure, placing Trey in a crossface. While Trey suffered, Alexander and Austin went for the title again. In one of the strangest moments I've ever seen in wrestling, Austin threw Bey at a climbing Alexander.

Alexander caught Bey in an ankle lock as Bey grabbed onto Ace with a sleeper. Raju noticed what was happening and left to crack Alexander with a chair. When all the smoke cleared, former IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champions Ace Austin and Chris Bey were left going for the gold.

Austin felt the wrath of Bey, who jumped off for a cutter from the X all the way to the mat below. Petey Williams spiked Raju with the Canadian Destroyer, as well as Trey Miguel. With nobody around, it looked like Petey Williams would be the one to win the IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Championship.

Alexander put Bey upon his shoulders in an electric chair position to try and grab Williams. Williams let go of the X, hitting an avalanche Canadian Destroyer on Bey. At this point, it was just Williams and Alexander left.

Williams was spiked with the Divine Intervention by Alexander. As soon as it looked like the Walking Weapon was going to walk away with his title, a reinvigorated Trey Miguel and Rohit Raju entered the ring.

Raju put Trey on Alexander's shoulders, hitting a double flatliner. A double running single leg dropkick laid the competitors out, leaving Raju all on his own. Raju climbed the steel structure holding the X. He was just inches away from the IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Championship when Trey yanked him off the top.

Trey's kicking combination left Raju on the floor, and it was once again Trey, and Josh Alexander left. On top, Alexander hit an avalanche exploder suplex. Bey was next to go for the gold. Alexander met him in the middle of the X with both men fighting for the title. The title was unsnapped, and Ace Austin tried to leap while they fought for it.

He missed, and Alexander sent Bey to the mat. With that, Alexander retained the IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Championship.

Results: Josh Alexander retained the X-Division Title at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary.

Former IMPACT Wrestling EVP Don Callis came out of IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Kenny Omega's dressing room to speak to Mean Gia Miller. Callis said that the new stipulation, the No Disqualification rules, for the IMPACT Wrestling World Title was made for Sami Callihan.

Callis added that he felt Tommy Dreamer was trying to ruin Omega's run with this decision and continued to claim that Callihan should be in prison.
