Cityzens Giving, Manchester City’s global community initiative, which supports Young Leaders around the world to change lives through the power of football, is back. This year, it features OSCAR Foundation’s Young Leader Poonam Gautam from Mumbai!

Since the launch of the campaign in 2014, City Football Group and its partners have contributed more than £3m to 20 projects around the world. This year, OSCAR Foundation is one of the Top 6 NGOs selected (of 1500 across the globe!) by Manchester City Football Club to be a recipient of their funding. To get the maximum funding for this project, Poonam needs the maximum votes! Please cast your vote for the cause of 'Education' and support her 'Goals for Life' project on https://cityzensgiving.org/manchester. The Goals for Life project uses football as a tool to enhance children’s education, give extra tuition to those who are struggling in school, and provide support and mentoring to reduce drop-out rates.

Recently, former Manchester City player Micah Richards was in Mumbai to support OSCAR Foundation Young Leader Poonam Gautam and her project for the cause of 'Education'. During the visit, Micah said that he himself had a challenging childhood and that he was not born with a silver spoon.

Before Micah, Poonam has had the opportunity to meet Spanish football legend Xavi Hernandez.
