Xavier Hernández is a Spanish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club FC Barcelona, and the Spanish national team. Xavi entered the football world via La Masia, the Barcelona youth academy, at the age of 11.
He made his first team debut in 1998 following which he played in 680 matches, scored 77 goals and made more than 160 assists for above 50 players. He was a crucial element in winning 6 titles in the same year for his club Barcelona. His accolades don't stop there. He has been capped 115 times for the Spanish national team, with whom he won UEFA Euro 2008, 2010 World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2012. He was also named Player of the Tournament by UEFA at UEFA Euro 2008. Xavier has won far more trophies than any other Spanish player. His remarkable abilities on the field have led his team to rake up numerous titles thus placing him among the most celebrated footballers of all time.
