Chennaiyin FC

Debjit Majumder - 6.5/10

Majumder made one excellent save at the death from a deflected throw-in, but was hopelessly beaten for both SC East Bengal goals.

Narayan Das - 7/10

It was a solid outing from Das in the Chennaiyin FC defense. He also showed he could deliver some killer passes from the flanks going forward.

Slavko Damjanovic - 6.5/10

Damjanovic had a couple of moments where he didn't communicate well with his keeper and Sajid Dhot, but recovered to put in another good shift.

Mohammad Sajid Dhot - 6/10

Dhot made a couple of errors that SC East Bengal weren't able to punish him for. He unfortunately picked up an injury towards the end of the first half and had to be substituted at half-time.

Jerry Lalrinzuala - 6.5/10

Lalrinzuala's cross for the first goal was excellent, but he couldn't consistently put in similar deliveries. He was okay defensively but did have issues at times in dealing with Perosevic.

Anirudh Thapa - 6/10

Thapa was one of the driving forces behind Chennaiyin FC dominating the opening 30 minutes or so. However, his attacking influence fell off in the second half, though he did manage four tackles in the game.

Ariel Borysiuk - 6/10

Borysiuk also had an excellent first half but lacked a bit of composure on the ball in the second period.

Vladimir Koman - 7/10

Koman was at his metronomic best once again at the heart of midfield and helped his team move the ball into encouraging areas. He completed 93.8% of his passes and laid out two key passes but left the pitch with an injury in the second half.

Ninthoinganba Meetei - 7/10

Meetei put in an excellent shift for Chennaiyin FC in the first half. His venomous strike for his side's second goal was inch-perfect and he also managed a key pass after showing some incredible skill on the right. The right-back was a little more subdued in the second half though.

Syed Pasha - 6/10

Pasha played a role in his side's opener but missed a golden chance to make it 3-0 in the first half from Meetei's pass by fluffing his lines. He couldn't drive forward much in the second half and failed to combine with Valskis.

Nerijus Valskis - 6/10

Valskis endured another tough outing as he still looks for his first goal of the season for Chennaiyin FC. He got into some good positions, but struggled to link up with Pasha and had no shots on target.

Substitutes

Germanpreet Singh - 5.5/10

Germanpreet Singh replaced Sajid Dhot at half-time. He made an unnecessary foul on Adil Khan in a dangerous area for the free-kick that SC East Bengal scored from.

Reagan Singh - 6/10

Reagan Singh came on for Meetei in the 63rd minute. He was much more solid defensively but didn't contribute much in attack.

Mirlan Murzaev - 6/10

Murzaev replaced Koman in the 66th minute. He had one incredible run into the SC East Bengal box that led to nothing and didn't see much of the ball otherwise.

Edwin Sydney Vanspaul - 6/10

Vanspaul came on for Pasha in the 66th minute. He completely missed the ball with a wild swing after some fantastic work by Murzaev and generally lacked calmness in the final third.

Lukasz Gikiewicz - 6/10

Gikiewicz replaced Valskis in the 80th minute. He held the ball up well on a couple of occasions and offered Chennaiyin FC an extra body in both boxes.
