Rookie Louis Foster shared a hilarious Father's Day message for his IndyCar teammate Graham Rahal. They are in Madison, Illinois, for IndyCar's Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at the World Wide Technology Raceway.
The race coincides with Father's Day, and as a result, the series interviewed many drivers, including those from Indy NXT, the junior series to IndyCar, to share their Father's Day stories and wishes for fans. While most drivers had wholesome messages for their fathers and all dads across the globe, Foster only wished his 'paddock dad' and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing teammate, Rahal.
"I wanna wish a very happy Father's Day to my paddock dad Graham Rahal. He's been a great guy to me all year. One day, maybe he'll be my surrogate father, who knows?" the 21-year-old said via IndyCar on X. [1:07 onwards]
Louis Foster calling Rahal 'dad' isn't new. The rookie did so after the first race of the season in St. Petersburg, where he labeled his 37-year-old teammate the 'team dad'.
"Graham [Rahal's] been the team dad, to be honest. So, its been great. Graham's a really great dude. He knows a lot about IndyCar racing, I mean, he led his first IndyCar race when I was about four years old, so he's been around a lot...He's really good with getting the best out of people," Foster had said on the Pit Pass Indy podcast.
So far, Foster's performances have been volatile but impressive overall. His two best finishes came at the IMS road course, a P11 result, and a P12 at the 109th Indy 500.
For the race at the WWTR on Sunday (June 15), the 21-year-old starts P21 on the grid, with Rahal right behind him in P22. RLL's third driver Devlin DeFrancesco will be the team's lead driver, starting in P17 for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500.
Graham Rahal dedicates an endearing Father's Day message to his two daughters

Graham Rahal shared a beautiful Father's Day message on Sunday. He warmly expressed how much it means to him to be a father to his two daughters, Tinley and Harlan.
In an X post, the IndyCar veteran also made a special mention for child number three, who he and wife Courtney Force will welcome in the fall. He wrote:
"Undoubtedly, the best part of life. There is nothing like being a dad and feeling that daddy daughter bond everyday. Love my girls, miss them today, and excited for #3 to join us this fall. Happy Fathers Day to all the great dads out there #GirlDad #FathersDay."
Graham Rahal will start the 2025 Bommarito Automotive Group 500 on Sunday in a lowly P22. After qualifying on Saturday, he admitted that RLL's cars weren't quick on the 1.25-mile WWTR oval. Moreover, he suffered understeer in Turns 3 and 4, causing him to lift off the throttle and lose more pace during the two-lap run.
