Dabang Delhi is all set for their 1st game of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi 2015 against Telugu Titans. The team possesses star raiders from season one like – Surjeet Narwal and Kashiling Adake while defender defender Ravinder Singh will be responsible for restricting the Titans’ attack.
Asian Gold Medalist Arjuna Awardee Coach of Dabang Delhi Honappa C Gowda spoke to us about their preparations for their first match. He said that the team is fully prepared.
Honappa said, “Our preparations are very good, players are ready.”
When asked about the strategy the team is employing against the Titans, he said their approach will be dependent on the opponents
“We will play first time against them, so we will see their game and prepare the strategy,” he continued.
However, he said that they have earmarked a few players in the Titans’ squad and will have tackle them in a particular manner. “Yes, we have strategy for them. We don’t have any problem about them. Let see what will happen on the ground today,” the coach said.
On the question of playing with foreign players who recently joined, he said, “We will play with 2 foreign players, Dong Ju Hong from Korea and Jay Bahadur Bohara from Nepal.”
Dong Ju is a defender who also played 2 matches in the previous season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi and Raider Jay Bahadur is playing for the first time in the tournament. Honappa also revealed the name of Indian players who will make their debut in Star Sports Pro Kabaddi.
Honappa revealed, “Rohit Kumar and (GS) Manikanta will be in the 12-member squad today.”
Unlike yesterday’s inaugural matches, where all the teams concentrated on their defence more, Honappa said the team will focus on raiding as well as defence.
Telugu Titans vs Dabang Delhi will start at 8 pm on Star Sports.
