Kashiling Adake breaches 50 raid points in Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League Season 2
Belied to its position on the points table of the 2 editions of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League, Dabang Delhi has been fortunate enough to have outstanding raiders; each well suited for the rigours and challenges presented by the spectacle that the league has evolved into. After Surjeet Narwal outshone everyone in Season 1, Rohit Chowdhury has been brilliant this year. Supplementing them though, is the calm and warrior-like figure of Kashiling Adake.
Nonchalant in his approach, he combines resolve with aggression and has stood out for the Dabangs. Those in fact who feared his innate integrity might make him soft have been proved wrong and last night’s performance against U Mumba stands testimony to the same.
Not only did he take the attack to the all-conquering team from Mumbai, but also instilled this belief in his own defenders that restricting their dominating opponent raiders wasn’t merely an aspiration. In the process, he also breached a crucial personal milestone that of 50 raid points this season.
Talking exclusively to Sportskeeda after the game, he said, “It’s a great feeling. Performing for your team is always extremely satisfying for any sportsperson and I am no different.
Having said that, I would have been happier had we won the game.”
For someone who accumulated 113 points last year, this must certainly be just an epilogue of what potentially lies in store, and he asserted how the points shall continue to flow, “We still have to play 6 games, 4 of which are at home, needless to say I’m looking forward to them.”
If he can indeed continue in this rich vein of form, the Dabangs would most certainly make the play-off’s, a distinction, that eluded them last year.
