Kashiling Adake was Dabang Delhi K.C's most important player last season, and will be their pivot this season

Dabang Delhi K.C made their mark on season two of the Pro Kabaddi League through their attacking brand of kabaddi. Delhi were involved in some of the most thrilling encounters of Season 2 and took the Delhi fans on a joyride every time they appeared on the field.

There was one man who shone in the limelight in that Dabang Delhi side and that was farmer turned star raider Kashiling Adake. Such is the charisma that surrounds the man who proved to be the most successful raider of Pro Kabaddi Season 2 with 114 raid points.

Adake, a rather unknown quantity at the start of Pro Kabaddi Season 2, hit the ground running in his very first game for Dabang Delhi when he scored 8 raid points. Despite heroics from the team, they went down fighting to the Telugu Titans.

The next match saw him score 12 points in a match against the Puneri Paltan. He also formed a great partnership with Rohit Kumar Choudhary, with the duo's aggressive raiding working very well.

Despite inviting more attention from opposition defenders, he didn’t get too bogged down, as his seven points against Jaipur Pink Panthers helped Delhi trounce the champions in their own backyard.

Needing a win to save their season, Delhi were given a lift by Kashiling as he completely ran riot against the Patna Pirates and scored 13 raid points in a comfortable win. If people were awestruck by Kashiling’s 13 points against the Patna Pirates, he completely ran the show in a 45-45 draw when his record-breaking 24 raid points in a single game sent shockwaves down the league.

The feat was something that had never been achieved in Pro Kabaddi before and his all-time record stood out for the sheer enormity of the achievement. Adake had well and truly arrived and the nation was taking note.

From earning just Rs. 200 for an eight hour shift in a factory. Kashiling Adake was becoming a national icon. When Kashiling turned up for the last leg of the season in Pune, to face the home side Puneri Paltan, the sounds of ‘Kashi Kashi’ echoed in the Balewadi Indoor Stadium.

There was little surprise when Dabang Delhi K.C. retained Kashiling for Season 3 of Pro Kabaddi League, and the well-built raider is looking to beat his own record this time around, as the Delhi franchise look to mount a title challenge.
