Welcome to the LIVE coverage of Match 43 between hosts U Mumba and Puneri Paltan at the DOME@NSCI SVP Stadium, Mumbai in the ongoing Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 4. Earlier in the season, the Paltans hammered U Mumba 41-19 to register their 1st ever win over the season 2 champions in the PKL in a match played at the same venue as Pune’s home stadium was shifted to Mumbai due to BJP’s rally in the Pune city.
Hosts U Mumba are currently placed 5th in the final standings and given their extraordinary home record in the PKL(W-11, D-1, L-0), they have an amazing chance to finish their home leg with a top 2 finish before the Delhi leg. They have played the least amount of matches(9) of all teams in the PKL this season, winning 5 of those encounters while losing 4 of them. Their charismatic skipper Anup Kumar has a lot to do in the home leg in order to make U Mumba cement that place in the top 2 and help them qualify for their record 4th semi-final appearance!
On the other hand, Puneri Paltan has won just 4 of their 10 matches played in this season while drawing the 2 closely contested matches against Dabang Delhi and Bengal Warriors.
