The hunt for the five points on offer will get intense as Tamil Thalaivas will search for a long overdue victory, when they face Jaipur Pink Panthers in the 127th match of the season.
Tamil Thalaivas have been a huge let down this season. Not a single experienced player of the squad has stepped up when needed. Rahul Chaudhari’s 126 points this season is quite low by his standards. With Ajay Thakur out due to injury, their attack has taken a major beating. Only V Ajith Kumar has looked good and he may be a hot purchase in the future auctions.
Their defence too has looked brittle. Manjeet Chillar and Mohit Chillar have put up a poor show so far, and hence Tamil Thalaivas have been forced to start with an inexperienced lineup. New faces like M Abhishek may get another opportunity to showcase their skills.

Jaipur were at the top of the table in the first few legs of the tournament. But as the season progressed, they fell lower in the table.
Their regular raiders Nitin Rawal and Sushil Gulia faded away with time and hence Jaipur had to try Nilesh Salunkhe and Deepak Narwal, which proved to be a good addition to the starting seven. Both of them have been decent and Deepak Hooda has led the attack well.
Jaipur’s Sandeep Dhull has been the best defender of this season with 71 points. But he hasn’t received enough support from others. Amit Hooda has performed sporadically and that has hurt this team. Vishal has done well in the last few matches and he could be expected to feature in the starting seven.
