Match 54 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 pits home team, Dabang Delhi, against Puneri Paltan. Delhi lost their last match to end their hopes of sealing a spot in the semi-final. Delhi is currently 7th in the group table, with only 4 wins so far in the tournament.

The match has a lot more value to Puneri Paltan, who are currently 5th - just 5 points adrift of the fourth place. Pune will have a chance of going through even if they lose, but in that case, they’ll have to depend on U Mumba to lose their match. Paltans will not want to keep anything to chance, and win their remaining 2 matches to give themselves a good shot at qualification.

The live streaming for the Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 game between the Dabang Delhi vs Puneri Paltan will be available on www.starsports.com from 21:00 IST. The match will be telecasted live from Thyagraj Sports Complex, Delhi, and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD) in English and Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.

Dabang Delhi suffered a heartbreaking loss in their last match to the defending champs, to end their chances of making it to the top 4. Delhi gave it their all in this all-important match, especially their skipper, Meraj Sheykh, who was exceptional on the night and kept the pressure on Patna to give Delhi a 16-14 halftime lead.

Delhi found it very hard to stop teenage sensation, Pardeep Narwal. He struck hard to put Patna back into the lead, and despite Delhi’s best efforts, they failed to cut down the lead. Kashiling Adake and Sachin Shingade had impressive outings for Delhi, as Patna Pirates proved their worth as champions, with a thrilling 32-31 victory.

Delhi’s season has been very inconsistent, and went into last night’s match with a lot of confidence, following good performances in their recent matches. They started off Season 4 with a disappointing 31-23 defeat, at the hands of Bengal Warriors.

Dabang Delhi’s lowest point of the tournament was their 26-51 thrashing against Season 1 champs, Jaipur Pink Pathers. Delhi’s best performance was against defending champions, Patna Pirates, at Patna’s home-ground. The capital side thrashed Patna 33-15.

The Delhi team had so much potential, but it’s been frustrating to see them not make the full use of it. Meraj Sheykh has endeared himself to the Delhi fans, and the Iranian will look to end Season 4 on a high. The Iranian has 59 raid points and 9 crucial tackle points. Sachin Shingade, too, has been brilliant for Delhi this season. The man from Islampur is the 3rd best defender this season, with 37 raid points. The two men will have a crucial role to play against the Pune franchise.

Puneri Paltan lost their last match against Patna Pirates- who have been exceptional this season. Deepak Hooda took over from Manjeet Chhillar, who was badly missed by Pune in this all-important match. Pardeep Narwal was brilliant, as Pirates took a convincing 15-10 lead at halftime.

Deepak Hooda rose to the occasion as he scored vital raid points to keep Pune in the game. Ajay Thakur, too, did his bit, along with Parmod Narwal, but it was a little too late, as the defending champs stood rock solid in defense to resist Pune’s comeback. The Pirates won 31-28.

The Paltans started off their campaign with a win against Telugu Titans, 28-24. Their best performance was the 41-19 thrashing of derby rivals, U Mumba.

It will be very important from Pune’s perspective, for Manjeet Chhillar to get fit for this crucial match. Injuries have kept the lion-hearted skipper on the sidelines, in the last few matches, but his presence today will be absolutely crucial. Chhillar will give solidarity to the Pune defense, and his leadership will be crucial in a match like this.

Deepak Niwas Hooda has been effective with his raids, and along with Ajay Thakur, the duo will have a tough battle against Shingade and Sheykh. Hooda has 75 raid points, while Thakur has 56.
