Pro Kabaddi 2016, Season 4 - Live Match Telecast: U Mumba vs Dabang Delhi, PKL Season 4 match online at Starsports.com

Can Delhi cause an upset by defeating U Mumba in Friday’s encounter

The uninspired U Mumba team have a lot of questions to answer when they take on the inconsistent Dabang Delhi side at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Friday. U Mumba, the most fancied team in the Pro Kabaddi hasn’t hit top gears in their last two encounters against Patna Pirates and Puneri Paltans. The young Delhi squad looks to be promising after hiring some new faces at the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi auctions.

The Live Streaming for the game between the U Mumba and Dabang Delhi will be available on starsports.com from 20:00 IST. The match will be telecasted live from Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD) in English and Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.

The recently concluded Star Sports Pro Kabaddi auctions have just sucked Mumbai’s momentum in the current edition. Mumbai badly misses the two corner defenders Mohit Chillar and Surender Nada in their set-up. Jeeva Kumar and Sunil Kumar never looked comfortable against the strong pacey raiders and therefore a lot of pressure was put on the raiders Anup Kumar and Rishank Devadiga.

The rusty U Mumba team has been defeated by the two raiders Ajay Thakur (Pune), and Pardeep Narwal (Patna) due to poor defensive organisations in the corner areas. They were outclassed by the 19-year-old Pardeep Narwal who got 18 raid points in 25 raids. The former Indian Kabaddi captain Rakesh Kumar was below par in both the matches after putting a splendid performance against Jaipur Pink Panthers on the opening day.

Not the best of starts for Delhi as well

The Dabangs from Delhi meanwhile lost a close match against Bengal Warriors before producing a nail-biting tie against the Puneri Paltans. The Delhi skipper Kashiling Adake’s performance in the first two matches was less impressive as he secured only 4 raid points in 2 matches. Kashiling should put a strong show against the weak Mumbai defence.

Deepak Narwal who was part of Patna’s title-winning campaign changed the complexion of the match with a super raid in the final moments of the game against the Paltans. The 20-year old who was frustrated with the lack of playing time in Patna colours should prove to be effective for his new franchise. The athletic Selvamani should start in today’s match to trouble Sunil Kumar on the left corner.

The defensive force Sachin Shingade was outstanding against Puneri Paltans with 5 successful tackle points. Prashanth Chavan was less impressive in the right corner and faces a big test against Anup Kumar and Rishank Devadiga.

The worst thing for Delhi heading into today’s encounter is, they haven’t defeated U Mumba in any of the past three seasons. The rapturous Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is the right place for the Dabangs to rewrite the script.

It’s going to be a battle between Delhi’s attack and Mumbai’s lacklustre defence. Let’s wait and watch who comes out on top.
