Jaipur Pink Panthers take on the Puneri Paltan in the penultimate clash at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi today. With both teams experiencing a torrid start to their respective campaigns, the Pink Panthers have taken off while the Puneri Paltan continue to struggle at the bottom.

Despite their topsy-turvy campaigns, there have been many individual performances which have been worth taking note. While some of the fancied stars have also failed to live up to their expectations.

As the duo is set to clash again today, we take a look at the five players to watch out for in today’s game.

1. Jasvir Singh (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

The 31-year-old raider has been super consistent for the Jaipur Pink Panthers this season. With 52 raid points to his name, Jasvir poses a great threat to the fragile Puneri Paltan defence. The Paltans will have to keep him quiet like they kept Rahul Chaudhary at bay the other day to stand a chance of winning.

2. Wazir Singh (Puneri Paltan)

The Puneri Paltan skipper once again has left the fans amazed with his top class performances this season. With 52 raid points, he stands between Jaipur Pink Panthers and the points today. He, single-handedly, guided Puneri Paltan to a draw against Telugu Titans in their last game and if he is not handled properly, Jaipur may well find themselves empty handed by the end of the night.

3. Rajesh Narwal (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Another super raider from the Pink Panther’s camp, their change in fortune has co-incided with Rajesh’s rise to prominence. Rajesh is the latest addition to the fifties club of the raid points and recently destroyed Dabang Delhi as he claimed 19 points as Jaipur Pink Panthers recorded the biggest win in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. His all-round brilliance will be a major worry for the Puneri Paltan today.

4. Manoj Kumar (Puneri Paltan)

A mainstay in the Puneri Paltan side, Manoj Kumar has failed to live up to the expectations this season, meaning the Puneri Paltan are the worst defensive unit in the league. With two of the most dangerous raiders in the opposition camp, it’s extremely important for Manoj Kumar to step up to the plate. If he can galvanize the Puneri Paltan defence, the likes of Wazir Singh and Pravin Niwale can lead the Paltan to a much-needed victory.

5. Kuldeep Singh (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Kuldeep Singh has been a revelation in the Pink Panthers’ defence, making 22 successful tackles this season. Kuldeep will have to organize the defence and give very little away to Wazir Singh. If he can somehow manage to tackle Wazir out of the game for long periods, Pink Panthers will all be assured of a victory.
